How to participate in the experiments using the special portable information terminal (Ubiquitous Communicator) (Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional Chinese letters) and Korean)

The Project is seeking participants who are willing to experience the experiment for about 3 hours with an exclusive information terminal and cooperate in answering a simple questionnaire survey (aged 12 or more).

Number of people needed

We receive applications for participation in 2 areas -- Shinjuku and Ginza.
We can accept a total of 80 participants per day.

How to apply

Please apply to the experiment secretariat by one of the following ways.

Apply via Fax	Please fill out the application form (PDF) and send it to the secretariat via fax.
Apply via website	Please press the following application button and fill out the form.

• Participants will be served on a first-come-first-served basis, so there may be cases where your request will not be accepted.
  
• The date of participation will be notified by the executive office of the experiment at some later date.
  
• Where to lend the exclusive portable terminal (Ubiquitous Communicator) will be notified, together with the date of participation, by the executive office at some later date.

How to Participate with QR code compliant mobile phones (Japanese/English only)

Anyone with mobile phone equipped with a bar-code reader can participate and experience the technology. There is no need to apply.

Conditions

Only those who agree with the following conditions will be permitted to participate in the experiments.

• Please note that the experiments may be cancelled due to bad weather, in which case, another date and time will be arranged if possible.
  
• The experiments will be arranged so that participants can move around as freely as possible, but please follow the instructions of the staff members to ensure safety. Please note that if a dangerous situation occurs, you may be asked to stop.
  
• Any accidents or injuries during the experience or on the way to and from the experiment site will be your responsibility.
  
• The experiments may be photographed or video taped for recording purposes. The portrait rights belong to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Please inform us if you do not wish to be photographed or video taped.
  
• Personal information provided for registration will be carefully managed and used only for registration and participation procedures. It will not be provided or disclosed to any third parties unless proper steps will be taken such as obtaining the approval of the information owner.
  Additionally, personal information of participants will be disposed after the experiments.

• You have to bear the transportation expense for moving from the Shinjuku area to the Ginza area.
